This digital audio artwork features recordings made inside the Oweynagat Cave in Co. Roscommon while a soundscape was played through speakers. The soundscape was built from field recordings of crows at dusk, recordings of rotational drawings and of breathing. Water drips are obvious additions to the original but more subtly the sound waves themselves are transformed as they encounter the cave.

Oweynagat is home to the Morrigan; Crow Queen, Death Queen, Battle Queen. Oweynagat is also Ireland’s Gateway to the Otherworld.
